The Wuhan coronavirus is a new virus that has been widely reported in the media lately. Originating in Wuhan, China, the coronavirus “2019-nCoV” is an illness in the same family as SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome).

CUPE National’s Health and Safety Branch has developed an information fact sheet that includes measures of control to prevent exposure to the coronavirus in the workplace.

The Lancet

The Lancet medical journal has created a Coronavirus Resource Centre. This resource brings together new 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) content from across The Lancet journals as it is published.

Ontario Nurses’ Association

The Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) held a Telephone Town Hall on Tuesday, January 28, to answer members’ questions regarding the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (nCoV). The town hall was co-hosted by ONA President Vicki McKenna, RN, and ONA CEO Bev Mathers, RN.
