Bill 195 Rallies Postponed As Government Limits Outside Gatherings

Ontario has announced a limit of 25 for outside gatherings. This limit is in effect whether there is a COVID-19 outbreak in the community or not.

The Bill 195 rallies held so far have been a great success. Only one of 15 held so far had fewer than 25 attend.

We are concerned that the good media coverage earned so far about our rights being taken away could become a story about our disregard for public safety.

As a result we are postponing the upcoming Bill 195 rallies until they can be held without limiting the numbers of participants.

Ontario Health Care Coalition To Hold Car Cavalcade Protests on Long Term Care on October 8

The Ontario Health Care Coalition is planning car cavalcades in a number of communities on Oct. 8 over the provincial government’s inaction on staffing levels and safety in long-term care. Under the Ford government, 1,800 long term care residents and a number of staff have died of Covid-19. Residents with the virus were not moved to hospital and staff have limited access to the N-95 mask and face shields, which are needed to protect against the virus.
