Giant Trojan Horse to visit PC MPP Victor Fedeli’s constituency office on Wednesday as OCHU-CUPE and the Ontario Health Coalition decry government’s privatization of hospital surgeries
North Bay, ON – On Wednesday morning, a 15-foot wooden Trojan Horse will be perched outside Ontario PC MPP Victor Fedeli’s constituency office, symbolizing the “duplicity of the Ontario PCs hospital services’ privatization plan.”

The metaphor of the Trojan Horse is being deployed by CUPE’s Ontario Council of Hospital Unions (OCHU-CUPE) and the Ontario Health Coalition, as the two organizations campaign against ongoing privatization of hospital surgeries and diagnostic tests, and demanding the government invest in staffing and capacity in public hospitals.
