Funding Public Services: The LCBO is publicly owned. Its immense buying power keeps prices low. LCBO revenues inject funds into Ontario’s already underfunded public services, such as schools, infrastructure, and, of course, hospitals. When private companies are permitted to sell alcohol, those funds go to rich investors instead of us.
Fighting Privatization: A loss for LCBO Workers is a loss for us all! OPSEU Members are fighting Ford’s continued attempts to “privatize everything that isn’t nailed down.”
Your Support Matters: Please consider visiting a picket line. When CUPE members show up on OPSEU picket lines, members feel empowered.
