On-to-Ottawa Trek: Protect Public Health Care

Join health care advocates, unions, community organizations, and supporters from across Canada for a major protest calling on the federal government to protect public health care and enforce the Canada Health Act.
The protest responds to Alberta’s new legislation expanding private health care, raising concerns about out-of-pocket charges for cancer care, diagnostic tests, and surgeries, as well as unequal access to medically necessary services.
Transportation to Ottawa
Free round-trip VIA Rail seats are available from Toronto, Montreal, and Kingston. Buses and community caravans are also being organized.
A Leadership MeetUp for representatives of unions, patient advocacy groups, non-profits, and community organizations will also take place on Friday, November 27, at 1:00 PM (location to be announced).
